he is more athletic than Keshon on offense. Better jump shot and will go to the hoop with some power.

We’ll see.

Matt Thomas was an elite shooter in high school and as a professional

He struggled in the Big 12 as a freshman. So did Milan

Lipsey and Hunter got the job done as starting pgs as freshman. I’m not writing off Toure or the other two, but I suspect as freshmen they won’t be better than Gilbert

Won't have to be starting PG as a freshman since we'll have a senior Lipsey as starting PG

Of course.

The point is we’ve had two freshmen be competent in an even more challenging role, so I’m not writing off hope that a freshman guard can help, but claiming things about their capabilities with respect to Gilbert is a “we’ll see” situation for me

When was the last time you seen Keshon dunk a fast break? Or get the ball under the hoop and take 1 or 2 steps and dunk it? Keshon's 3 pointer, he jumps about 2 inches off the floor and he really doesn't have much of a 10-15ft jump shot. Killyan has that explosiveness and his jump shot is much different.

I would argue that Keshon is one of the top gaurd defenders in the country. The kid is a menace and as quick as anyone. If Killyan is even remotely close to as good as Keshon on defense, he's gonna be pretty good as a freshman. And I see a lot of similarities in their defense. Keshon has really set a high standard in that regard.

We’ll see. He could have a “better jump shot and will go to the hoop with some power” compared to Gilbert.

But a lot of risk he’s not that as a freshman

I assume the crapshoot that is high school recruits is why we’re adding three 6’3” guards. And yes, I know they’re all a bit different.

I think Batemon and Toure can continue the standard of absolutely pesky perimeter defenders set by Kalscheur, Gilbert, Lipsey.
