Not sure this needed it's own story, but Ben does list a few schools who are reaching out.

Ben Carlson is currently ranked as a top-60 junior but says “I just gotta keep working.”

He holds offers from the likings of Ohio State, Purdue, Nebraska, Stanford, Iowa State, among many others. “Most of the schools that have offered me stay in contact with me regularly so it’s pretty even for who recruits me the hardest,” Carlson said.

He’s taken visits to Kansas State, Michigan, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Creighton, Nebraska, all unofficial.

“Nothing planned as of now, but teams have asked me to come to some games potentially and I might do some official visits if I have time eventually.”

He also added he’d like to visit schools that he hasn’t already visited or that are far away.

As for newly involved schools, there are four program’s that have recently gotten involved, one of which he visited but it has become more since then.

“The new schools i’ve been talking with are Gonzaga, Virginia, Notre Dame, and Michigan.”

You know what would make for an awesome weekend?

If we roundhouse kick Kansas in the face and then Foster commits on the spot.
What would be better: if Foster picked ISU after beating Kansas today, OR if Foster made his announcement on signing day, putting up an ISU and Iowa hat, then reaching for the Iowa hat, then picking up the ISU hat, pulling a fake out similar to Cliff Alexander when he chose Kansas over Illinois? That’s a really good question, also really difficult, so think about it if you need to.

Better if he commits today after the game. Landing highly rated players attracts other highly rated players to the program. It also allows the staff to then concentrate on other recruits for areas of need. So, although it would be fun to see Hawk fans get nut kicked by switching hats, an early commit is better for our program since Hawk fans will still be disappointed.

Agree, it was obviously just meant to be a funny joke.

.
Committing after a win today would be excellent, but committing to ISU period would be awesome.

Signing on the dotted line next November would be even better.

Helping lead ISU to an NCAA title...or two? Now that’s what I’m talkin’ about!

(In any of those cases, I don’t really give a rat’s puckered behind what any Hawkeye fan thinks)

Update with Colby Jones, 6'3" SG out of Alabama, he just visited Bama for their win vs UK. ISU has offered yet but appears to be tracking.

https://247sports.com/Player/Colby-Jones-46043222/

"Having offers from UAB, Samford, Middle Tennessee, South Alabama, Troy and Harvard, there's another Conference USA program that Jones expects to get involved.

"Yale, Iowa State, and Western Kentucky. Those three are showing the most right now" Jones said about those showing interest.

"I know that Western Kentucky has been talking to me heavy. I think they may offer me when I go up there this month to catch a game."

I’m not a fan of that tool move with a player associated with ISU. I prefer an early commit anyway.

However, it would be pretty funny if he had Iowa, Kansas, and Iowa State and he pulled the Clone hat. That would be nice.
