I worry about about his size at 5 ft 8 in regardless of 4 stars. Trust CSP I guess.
Remember Drew Lavender for Xavier? He was 5’-5” and still a beast in college. If you’re a good enough and quick enough player you’ll be fine. Isaiah Thomas is good evidence that height isn’t always a problem.

The staff isn't concerned with height and has recruited a number of smaller guards (Charlie Moore, Donovan Jackson, Tyler Lewis), and 5'8" shouldn't be a detriment for a PG, especially with Haliburton being 6'4" combo who can switch defensively in certain matchups if needed. From the highlights I have seen he has a very good handle and very nice outside shot (which is something ISU could use), more importantly he willingly attacks the paint and isn't afraid of contact when finishing. I know he has been compared to Chris Chiozza at Florida for 4 years and worked his way to the Rockets and they do have similar game, if that is his path I don't think anyone would be concerned about his size.

@Dandy, was that just prognostication or do you know something...?
I have no insider info here. Just going off of what is public regarding Wheeler's spring.

Was committed to TAMU but decommitted when Kennedy was let go. A TAMU assistant was hired by Georgia and Wheeler visited him there. Now that same assistant was hired by Kennesaw State. I think he's our's as long as the visit goes right. I'm assume Kennedy put in a good word for Prohm too.

My thoughts as well.

Your facts are solid and logic sound. Following the breadcrumbs as you were, there is a pretty compelling case the stars are aligning for us. I remember Prohm saying Billy Kennedy taught him more about basketball than anybody else. If Sahvir is looking for something similar for his college decision, Prohm is about as close as you are going to come.

Here is hoping that he hit it off with George and the rest of the team. Good for George, too, to be taking some leadership of the team and hosting recruiting visits like that.

I still prefer not to count something until it is in the hopper, however.

For those more in the know about the players we are recruiting how do Grill, Wheeler, and Nadolny all compare?

Cliff Notes version...

Wheeler is only 5'8" but super quick and skilled -- a scoring PG.

Nadolny is kind of a Naz or Nick type -- a long and strong combo guard.

Grill is a poor man's Matt Thomas. Size to play 2-3, mostly a SG.

Fair to say Wheeler would be the best go to scorer when you need a bucket?

From our limited knowledge of these recruits, I would imagine that, if you needed a shot late in the shot clock, then Wheeler is the guy you put at the top of the key, give the ball to, maybe have a big man set a screen, and let him roll downhill to the basket.

Grill is quite a bit more athletic than Matt.

That would be pretty impressive. Matt was always a very good athlete at Iowa State, and turned into quite the exceptional one by the time he was an upperclassman.

Good summary.
Wheeler think a shorter but stronger Monte pure pass first PG.
Nadolny agree with the comps, I would say Tre Jackson and him have similar games but is 2 inches taller.

Prohm gets one Wheeler/Nadolny to fill his traditional scoring PG role ISU should be set at PG for a couple of years.

I like the Thomas comp Grill can shoot but not quite at Matt's level. I might comp him to Christoperson. Grill is more athletic than both at the same age. Caleb opened my eyes with a few of his dunks and I think he could be better defensively.
He would fill the need of a developmental shooter who could switch 2-3 and play pg in a pinch.
