Fran can’t win. If he does not win this year he needs to pull a McDermott. I think Fran would kill it at certain schools but Iowa is not a basketball school.

Bain article on ISU targets going into this weekends evaluation period. I know many aren't high on his analysis (including me) he does list where they will be watching players and note the staff isn't looking to over sign in anticipation of Lindell going pro rather look at a transfer or JC in the spring if he does.

"Steve Prohm and his staff like a small group of 2019 targets — filled mostly with backcourt players.
They also have another list of prospects they’ll watch in this first evaluation period (July 11-15) and decide whether or not they want to offer. Coaches will spend this week in Atlanta, New York City and Augusta, South Carolina to watch players at the Nike EYBL Peach Jam, Under Armour Challenge and Adidas Gauntlet Finale."

Bain has a tough job. Our staff keeps things close to the vest, and he just doesn't have the connections yet to bring anything to the table. that list was brutal - i'd cross off half of them already.
It's actually pretty close to my list finally, took him awhile to get there but I think he has the list pretty good in that article. I haven't updated mine really for almost a month other than adding the new offer for Kai Jones but you can see it in the OP here:

I would be a little surprised if we don't get Tandy. He would be a perfect fit for taking over Wigginton. We will need a scoring guard and he fits that mold. Honestly not sure who else we are the front runner for at this point. Hopefully it shakes out in our favor. Surprised we are not seeing more Chicago/Illinois kids and Wisconsin kids after the last few years of us killing it in those states.

Also More and more curious as to what is going on with our possible injured, former 5 star, possible commit.

Yeah, the Leech thing is just odd an there is simply no information to find on him right now.

It sounds like we're sitting pretty well with Luke Anderson too. If I had to guess, we land Anderson, Tandy and one more this fall. No idea who that 3rd will be, but it will probably be a guard.

I haven’t been keeping up with BB recruiting, and haven’t read through the thread. Wondering why there is so much confidence with Tandy. That young man has some impressive offers, at least the last I checked, which admittedly was a while ago.

The staff has been recruiting Tandy since his sophomore year, and he is just recently moving up the rankings and getting those offers. KyKy has consistently mentioned ISU as a contender for the past 18 months.
Most thought the other major players would be Louisville and Kentucky and could come in with late offers to steal him from ISU. UK and L'ville have some other guards committed and the relationship with especially with UK now seems pretty much non-existent even bad at this time. His family wants him to be the priority guard recruit/play early and that isn't happening at those schools.

He's said some nice things about ISU in many interviews. Also, his dad is playing a large role in his recruitment and is big on the relationship side of things - which both bode well for Prohm n' Staff.
