People are freaking out for no reason.

Close, but it came from the Memphis Rivals Board and not from a poster, but from one of the admins on the board. This may be the equivalent of twitter tho as I have zero idea how credible Memphis Rivals is- but this is not the first of this rumor floating as it was in a Memphis Web Podcast a few weeks ago as well which could have been the same Rivals guys
One of the admins said Penny is been tampering with a recruit with a signed LOI? That is really dumb

That was a rumor on the Illinois boards after he committed to ISU.
Talen is consistently wearing ISU gear during his interviews and his mother is on record saying ISU was the choice due to the connection to the coaching staff. Add in the fact he is friends with the other incoming recruits two of which just saw him play with Prohm last week. I just don't see him leaving especially for a rebuilding AAC team who he wasn't recruited by.

Yes, I know, it is very not smart. But, it happened
Technically, he was not tampering. At least, not as a collegiate coach so he is not under any NCAA restriction as a coach until he came to an agreement

THT ain't going anywhere. Understandably, the fan base is a bit shaken due to last summer's events, but it makes no sense for him to up and go to Memphis. He's ISU bound.
Penny is a booster of Memphis so it's still illegal and for an admin of a pay board to say that is really dumb
I just think people are paranoid because of the McNeil situation. Memphis fans are delusional.

FWIW- I don't think he breaks his LOI. I also absolutely think Memphis has reached out to him so I would not be dismissive either. What has the NCAA done to make us think that anything would happen even if they did tamper?
This will die away soon enough but it is today's talking point and it came from somewhere similar to this board so it is worth talking about. Just not worth stressing about

If it is happening, hopefully THT files a complaint with the NCAA saying that he is getting calls from a Memphis booster who claims to be the next Memphis head coach.
It was not. Jonah is well respected. He’s come on the ISU 247 site before to post
