It's looking like we may not take another guard but maybe they look into this guy again...

From a Scout article about his decommitment from Louisville:

Ramey committed to Louisville on February 2nd, 2017, selecting Louisville over Florida, Creighton, Iowa State and a host of other high major programs.

"We have some previous relationships from the past that I'm sure will come to light again," Ramey added.

Even if we were not wanting another point guard. You don't pass up on Ramey. He is one of those "Too good to Pass up" guys. Then let the chips fall.

This staff isn't going near a Louisville decommit at this point. Assistant coaches are going to prison for their actions but usually this starts with the kid's hand being out.

A lot of decommits are going to occur over the next 30-60 days from different institutions. It will be telling.

I'm with you on this, but definitely would have to tread very carefully through it. And only if you previously had a very strong relationship with Ramey's family and are convinced they have the moral character to not be involved. Although, if someone is willing to commit to Louisville in the first place, they already have one red flag on their character evaluation.

Very true on all accounts. I assume every coach in America at this point knows which recruits with those institutions took money. They basically spelled it out. I assume if we go after him we know he is as close to clean as any other recruit.

See what he knew and when he knew it.

If there is any chance this makes it way back to him, hard pass.

I think the coaches will do their due diligence if they go after Ramey. People in the industry know what guys might be getting money and which ones aren't usually. So if Prohm and his staff talk to people and feel comfortable about Ramey then they would go after him. But I imagine schools will take things slow with these kids.

People are saying pass/we don't want him because of this scandal. But I guarantee if there is word that ISU is involved with this kid again fans will be gung-ho about getting him. You know how many transfers we have had that were questionable??

You're attempting to equate transfers that got in trouble for smoking weed and butting heads with their former coaches to guys that might be wrapped up in an FBI investigation.

These kids shouldn't be blacklisted from college basketball just because they committed to a school being investigated. If they accepted a bribe that is a different story. Prohm is too good of a man to put his assistant coaches and himself in a dirty situation. If we go after any of these kids that decomit in the coming days I will support it 100%.

Fans are often blinded by shiny things and do not think logically, coaches on the other hand given the last couple of days, will probably be very risk adverse.
