I would run the option on every play if I were Cincinnati. We haven’t come close to stopping that play.

Yeah typically in a 4 man front the DE has the QB on an option. That usually leaves the safety or corner unblocked for the pitch man, while the linebacker/nickel has to recognize and fight through block while maintaining leverage on a potential play action pass.

In the 3-3-5 there's really no D end there to option it's easy to downlock and seal him inside and climb to next level level. Cooper is trying to squeeze the QB and still get to the pitch man because he knows our small town walk ons won't be there. The first time Cincy ran it he played the pitch man and Sorsby almost took it to the house.
