Message received loud and clear guys. Absolutely zero criticizing of any player that shoots 1-6, airballs a 3 and fouls out while giving up 4 straight points in OT . Got it!
No problem with you being critical of a player, but if you're gonna be critical you should probably give the entire picture which includes 9 rebounds (3 offensive) and 2 assists.

Was it a great game for Heise? No, but Nate (much like Chatfield) does things that impact the game which are not always reflected in the box score. We would not be the #3 team in the nation without him.

That's the glass-half-empty mindset. I choose the glass-half-full mindset. He had nine rebounds when we seriously needed somebody to rebound to get stops. We don't win without him.

I'm in the "glass is twice as big as it needs to be" mindset

That average is still highest among seeds. It also gives us the closest place for fans to travel.

Also, being a #1 seed for first time in our history is great, even if we don't make ff.
The Cyclones were the fourth ever #2 seed to lose to a #15 seed in 2001.

So even if the worst happens and they lose in the first round as a #1 seed it would be an accomplishment of sorts. They’d be the third team to lose to a #16 seed.

Is this coming from the why doesn’t Watson get minutes crowd?
They've kind of died down the last couple of games. halfway thru the season and still on the bench with this record maybe they have figured out the coaches know something.

We sure put a lot of emphasis on a game. Yeah, MM, Nate and Keshon had frustrating days, but MM and KG are capable of going off on Kansas Wednesday. Heiser will be fine. I can't wait for Kansas and some Magic!

I was ecstatic and relieved we won that game. It was a huge road win in a hostile environment.

I was also very displeased with how Gilbert and Heise played today and thought Milan should have been in alot more at the end. Simple as that.
I’m not sure who you think cares about your displeasure here. Save it for your therapist. You haven’t added much to the conversation. I, for one, am glad we have proven coaches who know the Team’s strengths and weaknesses and who are making playing time decisions, not a keyboard warrior who has “thought(s)”.

I'm really curious to see if there's any more said about it. Pretty cool moment to see. He's been back for what, like a week or two? Awesome to see he's integrated himself so quickly.

I'm also hoping we get to hear more of the background story about him coming back in general in the future. I loved watching DG play. He's one of my all time favorites. His senior year is when I became a diehard.
I've noticed he's been really active on the sidelines since his arrival.

I hope that Heise isn't the new whipping boy from some
Looks like we have our new whipping boy to replace Rob Jones. We can all look forward to the experts in the game thread questioning why TJ plays Heise so much game after game.
Been this way for a very small minority since the start of the season. Shouldn't have been ahead of Watson, then Nojus.
Quieted down recently, but all it took was a close game.

Hard to believe that there are any complaints. This is the type of situation and game where even our best teams usually struggle, and maybe at best almost do it, but just can't quite make the play to get us over the top.

These guys did it, twice. If you're not elated, you are never going to be elated.

I really really really don’t care at all if we’re #2 or #3 tomorrow. It makes no difference
It’s actually pretty awesome if we move to #2 cause I’m not sure it’s ever happened. I’m hoping we get to #1 cause it would be awesome to say we’ve been there. Most of the time I don’t care, but right now I do.

Sure. But the reason he doesn’t impact the box score much is he airballs wide open threes late in games like today. He is decent. But he was not good late in the game today, and other players also play D and do other “non box score” things. We should have taken him out.

By the way Tech keep going at him in OT and and scored every time they did. Those points actually were reflected in the box score.
