Not a great half, but if we hit a three, a couple more FTS, and stop just one of their offensive rebounds from being second chances points we are there

Team has some changes to make.

Heise has to contribute on the offensive end at some point right?

What if I told you that basketball is beyond offense.

Fwiw we know he can score.

Normal FT% and one or two threes and ISU ahead now.

Time to go regroup at halftime and light a fire under a couple of the Cyclones that are sleepwalking through the game.

Nope. Not at all. I don't usually complain about refs. But this is incredibly inconsistent and missing some obvious travels that gave caused our aggressive defense to bite and led to open 3s.

Do you think refs aren't playing a role in this game?
Not a major role, no, and definitely not enough for how much it has been discussed but that is pretty much every game thread if we aren’t up by 10+. It just gets a little tiring not even being able actually talk about the game when it’s just refs this refs that.

I’d rather talk about how many open 3’s and offensive rebounds we have given up. Or how our offense cannot get downhill.

Cheers to a better 2nd half.

I hope we keep dumping the ball inside to JJ and Jackson, make their def concentrate on trying to stop us inside, and it will open up the perimeter a bit more. Tech has played good def, really pressuring us on the outside, although that pressure dropped off a bit the last couple minutes.

Keshon showed maturity and growth over the first 14 games. This game he’s completely reverted to the worst version of himself that showed up semi-frequently last season (four first half turnovers)

Dishon has shown solidness against good competition this season but he is not a good rebounder and we struggle to defensive rebound when he’s in. Pretty average lateral quickness too so we struggle defensively when he’s in. Utah attacked it and Tech is doing the same. He feels like a 10-15 mpg kind of guy at this point, with Chat taking some of his minutes and we also play smaller some

Officiating is fine. 4 self inflicted issues.

1.) Gilbert is killing us
2.) Bad offensive rebounding
3.) No made 3 pointers
4.) Missed free throws

Down only 6 on the road with all that isn’t a bad spot.

People somehow seem to understand this concept when it comes to Lipsey..... but sure it is Heise who is letting the team down on the offensive end

Damn, South Carolina went to the line for a two-shot foul, down 64-63 to Auburn with 0:09 left, guy missed them both.
