But they didn't....they adjusted about the ten min mark
What's the adjustment you saw? Because it was the same d, just harder on closeout, and smaller lineup. But we didn't fundamentally change what we did on d. Still running the same base no middle. Iowa just started missing the shots and weren't doing as well with drive and kick.

It's tiresome, because EVERY game a team gets hit from 3, its the same tired reprise from the same fans. "Why doesn't tj adjust?!"

Due to job, stuck with Varsity Network.
Given John and Heft?
Luvin radio!
I miss being able to see the game, but listening to our guys call it is pretty awesome. Brings me back to the days where I had a Rivals subscription and listened to games in the engineering building while I was in grad school at Mizzou.

catching up on watching the second half. the difference in the shoulders and build between Heise and PS is like Captain America before and after becoming a super soldier.

I'm always amazed year after year how weak Iowa players appear. The upper bodies of their guards and forwards are not developed at all. When you're in a D1 strength and conditioning program, nutrition program, and play an intense cardio sport like basketball, you should be ripped. But every year, they have Bohannons and Sandforts who look like they've never touched a weight.

1st road game, vs instate rival, down most of the game. This team just doesn't flinch. No great emotion when it ended. Workmanlike. (I think Refferty said it too.)
Just another game. Taking care of business. Love it!

Iowa player slammed the ball right in front of the ref and it bounced a solid 10 ft in the air. Definitely should have been a T. Probably under a minute left in the game.
This isn't the first time I've seen it not called, the ref even waved him over to speak with him. So either they changed something to give warnings or they just don't feel like calling it.

Those posts from my account weren’t me :jimlad:

Emotional game for sure.
I am actually seriously considering reading it.

Funny is I imagine I’d have been 50x more stressed if I’d read this while watching.

As it was I kinda expected them to pull it out the whole game, and was confident until like 12 minutes left.

The adjustment was they ran with 1 post the rest of the game. Jackson came out at 10 minutes and they didn’t have Jefferson/Jackson/Chatfield in together in any combo the rest of the game. The defensive philosophy did not change, they just were able to rotate and cover the shooters better. Plus Iowa got tired and started missing.

Usually crash in March. They really haven’t crashed in February the past 10 years or so.
Remember that insidious thread from a few years ago...Fran and the start of the February fade? Or something like that...the mods finally had to shut that thread down I think.

At least "or they just don't feel like calling it" was consistent with how they called fouls against the Hawks most of the second half.

yeah i think the big problem this year is our bigs can't quite run the defense against good shooting teams the way we have in years past.

Let's not go overboard. Definitely one of the top 3-pt shooters in college.

Jefferson was 3 assists shy of a triple double. Both teams' 2&3-pt shooting percentage are the same. The biggest difference statistically is offensive rebounding: 18 to 8.

Iowa was SO gassed at the end of the game. Our buddy Fran shortened his rotation, and that isn't the thing to do against us.
