It’s coming, I guarantee. Someone will start a season unexpectedly hot and demand money mid season.
Didn't that basically happen with UNLV last year?

Every time I see "Utah" it just reminds me how they were ranked preseason something like #12 or #10. And they were unanimous no-doubters winning the Big 12. What absolute horse manure! They were atrocious.I don't know what SC's QB room looks like but Lincoln Riley is the type to sign him.
Would Utah shock anyone?
Vols told him fine leave:
That might work at a few big schools but I think at most schools it would turn the fans off enough their NIL funds to dry off. I hope we don't have to find out. They need contracts
Doing it in the spring was nice of him. He has a redshirt available, so he could have brought this up in the fall when it would have put Tennessee in a more difficult situation. I get the urgency from the House settlement looming, but I don’t see FMV holding up
In a similar vein, until there are contracts and consequences, players should consider holding out for more money in high leverage moments, like for the NCAA Tournament or major bowl games. Particularly seniors, which have no future earnings to lose. Prisoner’s dilemma most likely means even those with eligibility could gain
Agree.
Agree.
Seems a bit premature. No waiting period at CU for such a thing?
Colorado has retired only four other numbers:
Byron White (1936-37) (24)
Joe Romig (1959-61) (67)
Bobby Anderson (1967-69) (11)
Rashaan Salaam (1993-94) (19) (won Heisman Trophy)
I wondered - so these are just "jersey" and not "numeral"?"Jersey" vs. "number"
I just saw on ESPN that Lee Corso is retiring. Good run for him, but it was time.
Ehh id bet its only a half scholarshipWhy did they talk him out of it? Do little people not deserve scholarships too?
