We want him?

Did he play with Arch manning in high school or was that another Iowa State recruit?

I think Ncaa needs to do something with the 4 game redshirt rule. It was a good idea at time but I don't think this is what it should be used for. Maybe go to 5 years or keep it at 4 w/rshirt but no playing.

5 years to play, no redshirt. Medical redshirt possible for players that lose more than one year. One year sit for transfers (no restrictions on scholarships or NIL during that year). That year counts against your 5.

He was committed to us before flipping to UCF. I think we’d certainly be involved.

a) They are in the same conference, why would he sit out a year to make a lateral move?
b) ISU has the NIL money to keep players, not sure they have the money to be shopping in free agency

a) It might not be entirely about money, maybe he just doesn't like the fit as much as he'd hoped or he wants to play with a QB who can actually get his receivers the ball.
b) I doubt we could buy him outright, but if our relationship is still strong from his high school recruitment maybe we can sell him on following in the footsteps of our current NFL-bound receivers, previously established relationships, and being able to still get some NIL money?

I'm not expecting him to come here, but who knows.

It would not be a bizarre thing to make a lateral move in the transfer portal. Lots of players do it, if you're not happy somewhere then moves happen. Perhaps it is money motivated and he's looking for a bag. If so, then of course ISU is not going to be a player. We don't know the situation though.

I have no specific knowledge on this particular situation. It's easy to assume we'd at least make a call thought. HS connection and prior commitment to ISU and seems like he'd be a perfect Jaylin Noel replacement, so you'd have the role/playing time pitch easy.

K State super lucky both he and Horn were out. Buffs win that game if Hunter plays. But that’s how it goes.

There's a reason players don't play both ways anymore. It's cool that he does but it's not a coincidence he gets hurt every year
