I have watched next to zero Cubs games this year, but I just happened to tune in at the top of the second. Of course I had to stay up and watch the whole thing. That was fun.

There has only been 3 no-hitters in Dodger stadium in the last 25 years. Cubs are responsible for 2 of them. Kershaw is the other.

I saw on Twitter that we have the last 2 no-hitters at Dodger Stadium and the last 2 at Miller Park.
So, "you're welcome" to the fine folks of LA and Milwaukee.

Now that I have four daughters, anytime I hear someone say you're welcome all I can think about is this:

JFC, complete pitching meltdown here in the bottom of the 8th. Given up 6 runs.

Patrick Wisdom's HR earlier was nice, tho. He absolutely crushed it.

I hope everyone who was rooting for them to lose are enjoying this. The end of the best Cubs era is about to be over.

The end is about to be over? Great, that means the new era is about to start then!

Sorry that 5 playoff appearance, 3 division titles, 3 NLCS’ and 1 World Series win the last 7 years wasn’t good enough for you?
Now do 2018 to present. This version of the Cubs has been broken for a while. But go ahead and keep pretending like it's not.

Theyve had more success the past 4 years than the Yankees, which people want them to model next. They hit lightning in a bottle with this last rebuild. It’s not likely to happen again. And I’m not convinced the Ricketts are going to spend money when the time comes for it. The Cubs are about to be in baseball hell but keep pretending like they won’t be.

Sell sell sell

At least the last month has provided some much needed clarity on what to do at the deadline.

I follow the Cubs but don't follow the rest of MLB that close. Do all teams have these little, nagging injuries that take forever? It seems like the last 3-4 years the Cubs have just been decimated by IR stints, and it seems like they are usually for injuries that start somewhat innocuous.

I don't know what's going to happen. I just know the pieces they have don't work together any more. You seem to think the team is screwed no matter what, so I don't understand why you are upset at fans that are ready for some major changes.

I understand what trying to rebuild the squad means. I can handle losing for a while if it looks like they are trying to build towards something. What I don't like watching is the team slowly slide into mediocrity paying the same players more money hoping to revive the magic of 2016 which is long dead by now.
