Wish we could get some inclement weather right now. It's dry as hell in Iowa and really could use some good rainy days right now to add some moisture back to the soil as a good chunk of the state is still in a drought.

LOVE me a doubleheader sweep over the Dodgers. I think I hate them more than the Brewers and Cardinals. Bummed that Kimbrel blew his first save but Javy with the heroics hopefully can get him going a little bit.

I'll eat crow if I'm wrong but why in God's green earth would you put Javy on?

I don't know the details of the rules of baseball. If Rizzo had touched the bag was their still a force out at second?

No, Javy then would have had to tag the base runner.
Thanks. That's what I figured. He definitely made the right play then because he couldn't tell Rizzo didn't touch the bag. Didn't think about the tag beating the runner at home. Wonder how close that was?

If Rizzo had touched the bag, and then Baez would have to tag the runner out going to second which is what Baez did. Now, if Rizzo had touched first and that runner going to second got caught in a run down, and the run crossed before the runner going to second was tagged the run would have counted.
