He was planning to retire, but said he'd consider coming back for another year since the season is cut short. Idk the specifics on his contract. He'd probably be cheap to resign if they wanted to.
He's in his own head. Having a slump after signing a big contract. He needs to forget about the pressure and just play ball like he's able to. And really it's just his avg. His other stats are not terrible...not like last year, but not terrible.
It didn't do him any favors starting the season at Wrigley. He plays terrible there and I think it just got in his head.
Hmmm...haven't seen or heard one peep from CloneinWDSM in this thread lately. Reminds me of lots of Hok fans. Talk smack about our players and then run and hide after we beat their a$$!!!
Nice rally in the 3rd. First time through the batting order had me a bit worried, but good to see some hits. Especially after yesterday's 8 innings of whiffs.
How worried were you last night? If it had been a double header, we'd have been ******.
Not really pissed. That was some great pitching. We had to take that in the 10th while we had momentum. The 12th was frustrating with 2 base runners (one on 3rd) 0 outs and we couldn't even get a run off of a sac fly or bunt. With 1 out and guys on 2nd and 3rd, it would have been a good opportunity to bunt.
With how their batting tonight, the team may be a little pissed about it though.
That was a hell of a game. On many levels. As well a weird one once it went to extras.
Also, that little Sogard scab is gonna haunt me the rest of this season. I wish it was atleast Yelich or something that got the hit
