Trade Schwarber and Almora. And Contreas. And Maddon. And Kimbrel. And Bryant. Get some prospects. And Rizzo. And Heyward. And Russell.

    Keep Javy.

If Addison and Montgomery never play another game in a Cubs uniform I won't be upset

Why not put a defensive sub in for the save situation? Is Heyward hurt? Am I missing something?

    Horrible loss.

Seriously wtf was Addy thinking? Playing back, wasn't that hard hit of a ball and he had to range to his left to field it. Even a perfect throw and it would've likely been safe

Now it's in their heads.....they are losing the mental game as well as the actual game. Maybe pajamas on the 4th of July will help, Joe.

Joe is going to be crucified by the Chicago media for this, and rightfully so. Not second guessing- that defensive lineup was **** as soon as pen met paper. Average Joe baseball fan could see that. That was Game 7 Joe-type managing, but the players didn't bail him out this time.

Pretty sure Heyward was OUT for the game due to injury.

You sure? May be. I missed the pregame, but I'm not seeing any post confirming this.

Add Kimbrel to the long list of trade-effort relievers that were gonna be the missing piece and then bomb for he Cubs.
Addison pisses me off....but the bigger buzz kill is that this Kimbrel was supposed to be the guy who could come in and get three outs without walking people. The team morale/fanbase morale will be tanking more from this than anything Javy, Wilson, or Russell did/didn't do tonight.

A lot of 0-fers too batting. good grief.
David DeJesus on post game is reaching for bright spots and has to say that Caratini needs to get more batting time in line up?!?!?! Have you been watching the last three months of baseball David? Caratini is a man-on-third-no-outs rally killing machine. I think he hits into triple plays with only one runner on. We play a game doing shots for every runner he leaves in scoring position.

I guess this will make the next world series win that much sweeter.
