The regular season starts tonight with Boston at Philly and OKC at Golden State. The early game should be pretty good and the nightcap should be a walk for the Warriors with Westbrook still out of the lineup.

Hayward made it through game 1 this year. Progress.

Boston is super deep. Hayward and Kyrie didn't even play all that well last night and they still had no problem taking care of Philly. It's only one game but if that was any indication there's going to be a pretty good sized gap between the Celtics and everyone else in the East this season.

New year, same hatred for the Warriors.

It's them, Boston, and Houston. And Houston might be a stretch after they lost a couple versatile wings from their rotation in free agency. Barring injuries it's hard to see another team out there with legit championship hopes.

Boston would have made the Finals and given GSW all they could handle if they were healthy last year. They were an eyelash from the finals with two all stars riding the bench.

Really hoping for that matchup this year.

Having 1/3 of your team be All-Stars will do that for ya.

I sure hope some team makes a surprise run because if it doesn't happen I'll check out by January.

Definitely looked rusty to start the game. They really had no identity on offense coming out. But PG-13 had a huge 3rd quarter. Dennis contributed as well. I think pressing the tempo and getting aggressive helped them climb back in. Obviously fell apart in the last two minutes.

I honestly had no expectations without Russell and Andre.

I'm going to try and stay up for the late game on ESPN tonight - DAL @ PHX. Good rookie showcase. First look at Doncic and I'm curious to see how Ayton's game translates to the NBA.

Great to see Kawhi back on the court. What’s interesting to me is seeing Nick Nurse start Siakam instead of Ibaka. Ibaka couldn’t have taken that well, but it makes a lot of sense to start Valanciunas and sub Ibaka at 5.

Wesley Johnson may be in a good spot with the Pelicans. Their depth is still very suspect.

The one thing some of us wanted at the Hilton preseason game was a few minutes of D Rose on the court and he DNP'd. Tonight he plays 30 min in the season opener. **** you Thibs.

Monte and Trey Lyles are the first off the bench for the Nuggets. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander nailed a jumper in Monte’s face.
