No rain in sight right now...

Yeah pretty annoying that they don't delay it when they should have yesterday and call it when they had a window today.

However, it looks like it rained a bunch overnight and into this morning, so I'm sure the field is in bad shape. Also, we taxed our pen yesterday, so if Jake would of gone two innings, then rain for 2 hours, we would of been in a bad spot. All in all, when Milwaukee is a few hours away, it's an easy call (and it should of been made yesterday)

Hopefully LaStella realizes that these roster moves are just part of being a baseball player. He's played well in limited action but when a guy like Happ has a hot bat someone with options has to go down. The good thing is this team has depth with position players to overcome injuries so he's an easy call up if an infielder gets hurt.

As long as Happ doesn't make costly mistakes in the OF and keeps hitting he might be up to stay for the long haul. That is bad news for Almora who has done nothing wrong and would be an every day gold glove CF on just about any other team.

Pitching is going to make or break this team this season. The good news is that they are loaded with talented position players to be able to trade from a surplus to acquire impact pitching.

LaStella needs to realize what he is and stay in his lane. He isn't talented enough to cop a serious attitude and make it worth a club putting up with the **** he pulled last year.

La Stella is trade bait IMO. He can be an everyday second baseman on a bad team, which is exactly what he was going to do before with the Cubs at the start of 2015. But like others said, he's really not good enough to be much more than a bench guy on this Cubs team

I think he's made it pretty clear he doesn't want to play anywhere other than Chicago which makes it hard to trade him.
