Say we win Saturday and so does Houston. When was the last time 14-4 didn’t get you a share of the title?

Since the switch to 18 league games in 2012 its happened 4 times out of 12 before this year.

2020- but that was with #1 KU at 17-1 and #5 Baylor at 15-3 with a hard drop to third at 9-9.
2017- KU went 16-2
2016- KU went 15-3
2012-KU went 16-2

If Houston and ISU win saturday though it'll be the first time a team in second stayed within one game in that scenario.

Now 24-6. Opportunity for only 3 more losses max so this team guaranteed to have single digit losses for the '23-24 season. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe we've only had 6 modern day single digit loss teams: Fred 2, Eustacy 2 and Floyd 2. This team is something special and they're not done yet.
Max 10 games left (1 regular season, 3 in KC, 6 in NCAA). F it. Let's just go 10-0. At a minimum, I think we get at least 4 wins, but hopefully 6 or more.

Unbalanced scheduling will make this more likely going forward.

This team has a definite attitude…i just hope the crystal ball doesn’t shatter due to the horrendous offense. They just leave me shaking my head each time they win after being so poor offensively. But yet they keep finding a way. Tonight there had to have been a witch in the crowd that hexed the BYU shooters.
Hi. :D

Hall from BYU looks like he should be playing a nemesis in an 80s teen movie.
I thought the exact same thing. Half of BYUs team look like they could have been in Cobra Kai with Johnny Lawrence.

Edit: Damn, I hadn't read far enough. I was too late with the Cobra Kai reference.

Three days before the season started, I had a heart attack. I was watching the Baylor game in the ICU after bypass surgery. Nurse had to come in and put me on oxygen because I apparently don't breathe while watching ISU basketball. Tonight, I needed some pain meds. I said a prayer (for the team) right before the 11-0 run to start the come back. I'm going to need a 20+ win at Kansas State to rest my heart for the tournaments.

Nobody becomes a Cyclone fan because it is easy.

They do it because it's awesome!

Take care of that ticker though. I think we're in for a fun couple weeks yet.

Some talk that this team shouldn't go for broke in KC, save themselves for the NCAAs.

Fat chance anything like that happens. They have one singular mindset.
I wouldn't hate Pav and Watson getting more playing time. Can still win those games but a few extra minutes rest for Lipsey and Gilbert wouldn't be awful.
