Yeah bite me poor loser Ten_hour_drive! Despite never winning an NCAA Tournament game, I think Mark Pope is a really good coach and will be offered way better jobs after his success this season. BTW I think Steve Prohm would make a good replacement when Pope leaves!
‘Homsr’ refs in Hilton?????!! Man, NO historical perspective there.

The dress and grooming standards begs my original question then. One of the BYU players had tattoos.
They didn't let minorities in until the 70's so I guess they're coming around. Jesus would walk by a bunch of them in his dirty carpenter clothes and they'd stand around looking down on him for his attire. Polished turds in my book.

Honestly shocked that nobody has mentioned the blonde in the front row of last nights game. Figured there would've been a gif already
Looked to me like she spends a lot of time in the tanning booth.

I thought it looked like a 99% easy call live and on the replay. Yeah the guy starts moving under him as he goes up but he's still pushing further in during the put back.

Maybe I watch too many NBA games because if I'm watching an NBA game I move it up to 100% absolute certain they never call it like that. I mostly only watch ISU other than years like this where teams winning/losing could get us a Big 12 championships.

Maybe in college basketball that's the right call...although even in ISU games it seemed freakishly wrong from my past 28 years of watching ISU.
What makes it exceptionally odd is calling that while not calling a lot of the really rough play. It's like, we're going to let it be a free for all, but on this one play, we're staring with whistle in mouth ready to blow it instantly on contact. So technically the correct call, but just weird with how the game was called generally (especially with how big that and one could have been).

That call was criminal. The ref didn’t blow the whistle and raise his hand until after he had seen the basket go through.

For that to happen at home and to a senior on senior night in the closing minute of a tight game was inexcusable.

This is it exactly, just don’t let our resident bootlicker see you post this or he may add you to his stalking list.

They always have their whistles in their mouths...

I get that it's a bummer because it would have been an extra cool moment for Rob, but like I said be mad at something like the Gilbert steal that wasn't in any way technically a correct call, rather than the refs calling something that is actually a foul.

It was close, but the whistle blew and the hand was going up before the ball went in.
Sure. It was after Rob had shot it. Which is typically an and 1. If in the time between you seeing a foul and blowing the whistle, a legitimate shot occurs... that foul was on the shot.

It was a horrible call and a ref being a prick.

I'm not sure what to say about that, the ref called the foul to be a prick? To Rob Jones? To Iowa State? To you? And the hand/whistle is just an indicator, the foul occurred on the rebound.

i watched baylor be gifted a comeback against texas a few days ago, and just dont feel like ISU ever gets those calls at home. instead what ISU gets is phantom whistles eliminating runouts and blown and 1 calls in the closing minutes.

there is a reason walters and heft and i bet blum too have little nice to say about that crew.

I rarely see us getting gifted the kind of calls at home that I see other teams getting gifted on their home courts against us, and often wonder if it's just my homer glasses.

The worst college officiating I've seen in my life was against ISU at Hilton vs KU, not a home team getting home calls. I don't need to even bring up one of their starters being allowed 6 fouls late in the same game. They choked on a last second shot to tie the game (really a pretty easy shot they choked on), charged but weren't called for a charge on the shot, tackled our guy on the rebound and laid on top of him, again missed a 3 pointer they only had a chance to take because of all the other horrifically bad calls, then our player who got tackled gets called for a foul because a Kansas player is laying on top of him after he tackled him and I guess he's not allowed to play anymore. You will NEVER see a crew do more in a final play to throw the game to the visiting team in your life, it's quite impossible, they were making a bad call to help KU every few seconds to achieve the objective. Nothing that happened to us in our heartbreaking loss on the green court to MSU in the Elite 8 is even close to the closing sequence of that game, I can sympathize with that crew that at least some of our heartbreaking calls in that game were tough calls to make.

Hilton Magic is 100% about crowd energy feeding the players. If anything I think sometimes officials understandably try to prove they aren't influenced by it which is why you see calls like taking that shot away from Rob. The contact on the jumpshot before his put back was absolutely nothing compared to what they'd allowed both teams to do all game (I had to watch the replay 4 times before I could even tell what bootlicker is referencing), it was a clear 100% foul on his rebound/putback. Every time.

Who's this bootlicker you speak of? Are you a bootlicker, am I, are we all bootlickers? I don't know. I'm just asking.
