If we play like this again we will lose, good news is this seems more like an outlier than the norm, although teams are definitely gonna sag off us a lot. We need to be at least mediocre from 3, you can't be 1 dimensional in big 12 or games will go like this.

You act like the refs don't affect this. It is harder for the team to get into a rhythm when there's non stop contact with no call. Especially inside, where our advantage was. That pushed us to need to make 3s, and we couldn't.

You couldnt ask for a better advantage from the refs for WVU.
And many would complain we get favorable treatment at Hilton. That’s how it is. We’ve all been around long enough to understand this.

It is a real thing with Otz teams and actually most college basketball teams, the bipolar play from at home vs away games is incredible. Whether we win or lose the team looks very pedestrian on the road

Because blaming every loss or game we are losing in on the refs is weak ass **** and I hate that every game becomes that until we start winning then the refs are fine.

In this game in particular, WE WENT 1-17 FROM 3. Refs are not why we lost.
Not being open to the fact refs changed this game is weak ass ****.

Felt like the refs let them play all game then got tight last 5 minutes when we needed them to swallow whistle. Oh well, NCAA and B12 tourney aren't played in Morgantown.

We were going to lose eventually. 1-17 completely sealed that fate.
As long as we are rated this high every away game will be like this. Have to learn to adapt.

I more worry about NCAA tournament games being a 3 point fest and our ability to go ice cold at times.
Agree. Our traps were very poorly timed today and it left them wide open on the three point line way too often. That is a recipe for disaster in the tournament

The Des
Haven’t said this much over the last 2 years but we were outcoached and outgameplaned today.
I mean, the WVU gameplan was just to grab on every drive. We couldn't get to the rim because of it. Threes weren't falling, but we couldn't get many good looks because of said grabs. If they're called for 50% of their obvious fouls, it's a different game.

We only shot 7 FTs that's a little insane with how much we attack the paint. That's certainly a factor in how we weren't effective on offense. Also we shot horribly from 3 we make 4-17 (still poor) and that's a different game

I turned that game off after the roughing the passer call a few minutes in.
Yeah. That extended the drive.

Too bad. You then missed a personal foul when he was a runner and the Houston players hit each other and missed Patty completely.

There was on both sides. If you think it was one sided, retake off your cyclone colored glasses and take a breath. ISU shot 6% from 3 today on a lot shots. That’s a huge reason we lost.
Even join Walter's said the reffing was ass

I'm not going to overreact...yeah sucks right now, but WVU had wins over Gonzaga and on the road at Kansas....they're a good team.

We played about as bad as we possibly could and kept it pretty close on the road.

Yes, we did go 1 fer from three, AND the refs SUCKED as bad as I have seen in a long time. If we had won, I would not have said the refs were good!
