Barttovik still has OU as a #9 seed right now in the NCAA tournament.

That was a good road win by our guys.
Yeah, a top 30-40 team in NET\Kenpom\RPI\Sagarin, on the road, is always a solid win. Just wont get much credit for it outside of the formulas from the media and whatnot with the conference standings being what they are.

I don’t get much into analytics or anything, but I would think any road win in this conference other than WVU and OSU would be considered a good win.

Even those are just down around 100, which is pretty good for 2 teams on the bottom of a conference.

It's funny, and maybe other older fans are like this too, but my mind keeps spitting out "Cato" for a fraction of a second when I think of Cam.

Part of it is the shared C's, but part of it is the similarities in some of the plays both could make. Cato had a driving dunk (from the baseline instead) in the tournament that reminds me of Cam's tonight, and we all know what he could do in shot blocking. Cam's not there yet in terms of defense with what Cato could do, but he's probably more fluid on the offensive end than Cato was (as a senior).

I’m an infrequent ISU b-ball watcher so maybe you can clear this up for me. In the half dozen games I’ve watched this year, it seems like Cam gets caught celebrating at least once a game. He makes a big block or dunk, then spends 5 seconds flexing, and misses something on the next play. He spent a long time flexing after the dunk last night and didn’t get back on defense.

I recall specifically one play in the very close Texas game. He made a huge block, the other 4 ISU players took the ball in transition and scored a layup. Texas immediately inbounds the ball and Cams guy drills a 3 because he was too busy flexing from the block and didn’t get out to guard him.

He seems like an emotional player, and I hope this sort of thing doesn’t happen at a critical time in a game. Maybe I’m wrong though. I’m dealing with a small sample size.

Cam’s guy didn’t hit the three against Texas.

If Cam celebrates a little too long sometimes, I can live with it for all the other stuff he's been doing. I think he'll settle it down a bit eventually, but I love the fire he brings to the team.

He may celebrate a little too long at times but I love the fact that he is having fun. His attitude and effort have been great over the last month and it’s just been fun to watch him grow over the year - he’s been through a lot.

Kerwin Roach definitely wasn't Cam's guy to guard. Anytime you get a 4-1 or 4-2 break, there are going to be a couple of guys who don't run down to stop you and cherry pick instead.
