Yep. Like last year. If BYU goes cold from 3, they're a very beatable team because they don't play D.
Yep and they turn it over a lot too. They also had so many *almost* turnovers that could've been today too where they recovered it or bounced back to them for a bucket.

I'd be really apprehensive to have them make a deep run in my bracket.

Great effort for a team without two starters, Jones had an unbelievable game. My only complaint would be BYU was torching us from distance, why not change it up and try a zone earlier than with 3:30 left in the game? BYU was doing a great job of dribbling penetration and then dishing it out to the corner, why not stop helping out and stay in the corner or at least the passing lane. BYU is a solid team, if they continue to play like they are, hitting 3s and making free throws they can win this tournament.

They can win 2 games without them.

That said I think Lipsey plays.

I honestly don’t think Lipsey was playing the rest of the Big 12 tournament regardless of him suiting up, regardless of what he or anyone else said. As much as the players wanted to win this tournament, Lipsey would have played today if he wasn’t shut down.

I know ISU's coaching staff doesn't like to get on the refs, and I generally support that as opposed to coaches who are out on the floor screaming for the whole game. But sometimes it needs to happen, especially when a clear fouling discrepancy is apparent, or baby gloves are coming out for the opponent. Sometimes the refs need a little reminder to fair things up.

I really think their high turnover rate will at some point cost them in crunch time in a big game.

I'd say so. They would have gotten to 5-6 of those made threes on close outs.
Yeah, having our two best defenders would have meant their key scorers would have been better covered, meaning less help needed off their secondary scorers. Really hard to understate what we were missing defensively.

Well unfortunately we’ve become their *****

They've been really good over the last month and played an injured ISU team twice.

Add in that they're ISU's krptonite and it's tough all over.

No he wasn't going to play against Houston.

Kind of glad they avoid Houston, that is a rugby scrum

Hate to say it but at this point if we don’t make the E8, it was a disappointing season.
I agree. The tournament is really the only thing that matters.

Take the 21-22 season vs the 22-23 season.

22-23 we were more competitive in B12 play, but due to that first round travesty vs Pitt it’s what I remember about that season.

21-22 conference play was rough at times but the S16 made me forget all about it.

Granted, expectations were vastly different going into each season and that also plays a role when looking back.

easily the easiest loss to take this year. Hope we can get healed, but who knows.
Vic's got a week to work some magic. It happens to other teams too. Look at Duke today. That's definitely not what they wanted right before the Tourney.

Not exactly sure.

Probably better for the tournament seeding to also have Tamin not okay and lose close than to play him and still lose while he’s limping. The committee is watching these games and they are seeing that we are down 2.
