Pay for a year's worth of room/board/tuition/clothes and provide him with world class facilities and instruction for him to never play a game. That's pretty awesome.

Cal can now say he's had practice squad kids go pro. This could start a weird trend of prep school kids coming in 2nd semester with no intention of ever playing college bball, just another loophole.

    "Focus on school".

Why do these people even pretend to give a **** about the school part?

Didn't this kid make an unofficial visit to Ames for a football game several years back?

    The kid's quote:

"I wanted to sit out this year because it gave me my best shot to be drafted is quickly as possible."

The kid's quote after UK compliance gets a hold of it:

“When I decided to enroll in school in January, my plan was to come to Kentucky to work on my game and to focus on school.“

He is going to school. A basketball training school. I don't know why basketball gets different treatment than say chemistry. Oh wait, it's because the schools colluded and made up the rules for "student athletes".

Truth. I find this development entirely awesome and hope it starts happening more. He used the school instead of the other way around, and it's delightful.

Most likely, for some reason I thought it was a Diallo that was not Cheick that visited.
