We had to push him out. Oregon St is barely above Kansas

I kinda doubt it since our DB coach was just at his house the day before doing an in-home visit like they've been doing with the other commits. Perhaps a connection with an OSU staff? Who knows tho.

There had to have been a situation where Caponi said/did something that rubbed him or his family wrong. Not even blaming him, you just deal with enough people sometimes you just have a misunderstanding with someone.

Maybe he saw the OSU on the orange/black uniform and thought he was committing to Okie State??

Agreed, may mean “we” was Thomas and ISU. Was stunned to see OSU, was sure he was going to Auburn.

I have a feeling the conversation might have gone something like this:

Noble: “Coach, I want to start as a freshman next fall. Can I start as a true freshman?”

Caponi: “Well, Noble, TJ and Myles have a big head start on you. It would help if you would enroll early. Can you graduate and enroll in January?”

Noble: “OSU told me I could start as a true freshman.”

Caponi (not asking which OSU): “Well, Noble, if that’s your primary goal, maybe it would be best for you to take a closer look at that opportunity.”
