Our special teams (or lack thereof) probably have resulted in half of our losses in the Campbell era, so this is awesome.
Does that count Tech's 62-yard field goal in '21, or is that "fluke" category, and not special teams (or, could be blamed on "shouldn't have been in that situation in the first place")?Our special teams (or lack thereof) probably have resulted in half of our losses in the Campbell era, so this is awesome.
Bonamego's bio includes this little nugget:
"His 2016 [Central Michigan] team upset No. 22 Oklahoma State in Stillwater."

Typically an "analyst" doesn't work with the players. If they work with players, they are counted against the regulated number of coaches that a school can employ. There is no limit to the number of analysts a school can have (hence 'Bama having many).Analyst...does that mean he won't be on-field?

He can still review game and practice film, and will regularly interface with the ST coaches to advise on strategy, tactics, drills - basically everything a coach does but with one degree of separation from the athletes.well that's a little less encouraging but still a step in the right direction
I’m guessing he will be paid handsomely for an analyst role by our previous standards .How did we get this guy? Is there some connection to the current staff?
I’m taking a wild guess that after 33 years, he doesn’t want to go on the road and recruit.I was also wondering ... if his resume is that impressive, why is he available for an analyst position?
I’m assuming whenever administration isn’t around, this guy will 100% be working with the playersTypically an "analyst" doesn't work with the players. Scott Frost likes this idea.I’m assuming whenever administration isn’t around, this guy will 100% be working with the players
Very nice pedigreeSeems like a helluva resume.

Maybe he can bring some of that Jedi mind trick, or vodoo magic dust along with him to make the officials 'mess up'. In our favor, of course. That was the game where OSU got an intentional grounding penalty on 4th down, and the officials (incorrectly) gave CMU an untimed down near midfield....and they proceeded to score the game-winning TD.
Just what we need, violations.I’m assuming whenever administration isn’t around, this guy will 100% be working with the players
Did you ever hear about Rhoads staff getting a violation for this?Just what we need, violations.
