Anyone know what the new building being built west of the basketball practice facility in west Ames is? It doesn't look like apartments. Looks like it could be a gym or something. Anyone know?

If it's really All Iowa Attack that is a good thing. Especially with Jake now out of that picture. I think Jok plays for AIA.

Yup!

Also, there is a Jimmy Johns with a drive through going behind Kum and Go by West Towne Pub. Freaking Awesome!

Awesome I live in West Ames and it would be nice if some successful business other then West Town Pub moved out there (I like West Town Pub, it is just nice to have more options).

Sweet news about Jimmy John's coming to west Ames. It's about time we had some fast food options in this area. There are a ton of college kids out here and if you want fast food you have to go to Lincoln Way for McDonald's/Wendy's (yuck). I'd like to see a Sonic out here.

Anyone know why there isn't a Hardee's anywhere in Ames?

And before that, or maybe at the same time, at the mall where Diamond Dave's was.

1,000th post was about Hardee's, I like it.

There used to be one where Panera is now at 3rd and Duff I believe.

Interesting. I'd like to see them come back. West Ames near Mortsensen/South Dakota is a great place for a restaurant (fast food) business. You have a ton of college kids and other people in the area, plus traffic from HWY 30.

[quoteJok is with Jake, one of the reasons he left. ][/quote]

Jok is not listed on AIA or Jakes website. I hope he is still with AIA. What is the deal.
