New Basketball Court

The lines were actually red, not white (the photo you're looking at is a Photoshop job that was released when the new logo came out to show what it would look like on the court), and if you zoom in on the Twitter photo, the "grey" lines look to be stencils with the actual line painted between them.

Crap - didn't realize that. It's everywhere on Google.

I have always wished that at the baseline of our court we had a "storm theme" mixed into the cardinal paint. I hate to reference a Mizzou photo, but they have a subtle tiger print throughout the black paint.

I read somewhere that they'd be using a darker shade of cardinal for the border, and that the free throw lanes wouldn't be painted. I imagine they'll also include the new Big 12 logo somewhere, and keep the Pioneer logos.

I hope they paint the lanes. Courts look so plain when the lanes are not painted.

I have already put together a strongly worded statement to Jamie endorsing this measure on your behalf.

Side note... am I the only one at the football games that has a problem that we announce the Cyclones have entered the Case IH red zone, then commit a penalty effectively "exiting the Case IH Red Zone", get the yards back and then announce a second time that the Cyclones have entered the Case IH Red Zone, but at no point did we ever announce that the Cyclones have exited the Case IH Red Zone.

This is the type of stuff I think about when I am home alone and the power goes out...
