Going into the Old (new location) Charlie Yokes next to Fighting Burrito. Going for an "upscale" night club theme. Should be pretty cool, I talked with one of the guys one time and the whole upstairs is gonna be a giant dance floor and the bottom will kind of be like the old Charlie Yokes with tables and food.

Soft opening in a couple weeks, full opening after Winter Break.

What is an upscale nightclub theme? Dress codes? No tennis shoes?
This doesn't seem like something that would prosper in campustown, more like something for downtown DSM.

I'm sure the word "upscale" is used extremely lightly. It is Campustown after all. I think there is a market for this with ISU students.

Velvet ropes, black leather chairs, dress code and a suited door man are as close to an upscale attempt as you are going to see in this college town.

Black leather chairs are the only one of those things I've ever seen when I've been there. Which is probably 2-3 times total.

I went to one in NYC. It was ok. Everytime a drink was ordered all the prices would change by a quarter. If something got to a dollar they would run 2for1s until it shot back up.
