Did not lose a starting TE. Vaadeland is back due to medical redshirt. Running backs split time and only one of 2 starters that each had over 1000 yards for two consecutive years was lost due to graduation. QB Wentz will be a winner, coachs love him, he is athletic and knows the system. He is ready to go, and yes will need more game experience to prove it. Lost 3 starters on the offfensive line to graduation. Biggest concern to me, but NDSU always has some capable guys for o-line.

Our beat writer is a 5 2 pud who doesn't know squat.
NDSU will beat ISU just like K state Kansas Colo St and Minnesota twice!! You fans are a total repeat of all these other fanbases.

This causes me to chuckle (alot). Over the last few months, I periodically go over to the Bisonville football forum and read their fans comments about our upcoming game. (I am sure that a fair number of Bison fans come over to CF to read the comments of this posting.)
Here is the deal. As near as I can figure, about every third or fourth Bison poster basically states some version of the following: " Iowa State has one of the worst teams in all of major college football. " " Few teams in college football have won less games than Iowa State. " "Iowa States' football team is flat out bad and their loser fans don't seem to even realize how bad they actually are."
So then ponder this. I would say that the Bison better damn well win this game then. What is the true worth of three consecutive FCS championships if it is bracketed on both ends by losses to "one of the worst teams in all of major college football." All the pressure is on NDSU (it would seem to me). Three national titles bracketed with losses to Iowa State.
Now that is funny..........
I was laughing so hard when I was making it! hahaThis one made me laugh way too hard at work!
To be honest, both are similar. I believe Sam was more of the passer and Grant was a little more nervous in the pocket so he ran more. The thing is we do not know their true potential since MESSingham was our coordinator. He coached our quarterbacks and that was nothing but a train wreck. Our old coordinator made everything complicated and so our whole offense was messed up. So to be honest, we don't know and will not know until the first game.Ok, I am going to actually ask a football related question.. as I dont know much about ISU football. I know there is a QB battle between Grant Rohach or Sam Richardson. Do they play with similiar styles.. or is one more a running QB, as the other is a pocket passer?
Well that won't be the case. Considering the loss at ISU was in 2009. Then in 2010 NDSU won at KU then lost in the quarterfinals at Eastern Washington. NDSU has won 4 straight vs FBS schools. As impressive as it is to beat the FBS teams when they play, they don't mean as much as the wins in Frisco in January!
It's still FCS...
It still doesn't matter. A title at the highest division you can get to at that time is still impressive. NDSU has only been up for what 10 years? Have a three straight titles. It's not like they have been in that division for 50 years and finally won a title. They wouldn't be able to make a jump for another 10 years anyway, at the earliest. But within 5 years the landscape of the divisions is going to be so different that it won't matter. I don't get the fact that some fans think well were here so that makes us better. So there are teams that are FBS, guess what, they don't win. Don't win but 2-3 games a year, don't compete for conference titles for multiple decades in a row. Some are Basketball schools and don't have as strong as a football program. But if that's fine and being content just being there is what it's about then I am sure NDSU will pass. They would only move in future if they could sustain winning and being competitive to keep it's fan base and tradition.
Wow, that was insightful! Only move to new conference if guaranteed to win, got it.
