For starting offense: quarterback, half back, full back, top 2 TEs (ran I formation), LT, starting wide receiver. On defense: LE, tackle (all three defensive tackles were seniors), NG, mlb (starter and backup), left and right corners. Lots of seniors in the two deeps, that are gone. Not to mention the coach and some of the staff. I would play them this year over UNI for sure.

They also lose their starting center. They do return a pretty salty defense, but they were good because they had an outstanding offense. They will miss Brock Jensen far more than they think.

Bohl pretty much gutted the NDSU coaching staff, taking with him to Wyoming their OC, and WR, OL, LB, DE, and CB position coaches.

We probably have the same number of new starters as you guys.

New punter, one at DE, new WR, maybe one new oline, couple new linebackers, couple defensive backfield, two new dline. That is 9-10 if you count the mystery punter.

Almost almost all of ours have previous playing time except maybe a new WR (Lazard), freshman punter, 1 or 2 LB juco, and 2 dline (lost the original starters by loss of heart and stop signs).

I don't know how NDSU stops all of their amazing players from going pro early. It's really a testament to how great the staff is. They sound like they've got about 7 first round picks on their team.

I would be shocked if UNI is not playing for the D2 title. They are a freaking good team this year and we know how Iowa plays in September. In my opinion, UNI beat us more soundly than Iowa did last season and they return a ton.

Farley lost the respect of his team with the whole MLB situation. I heard he lost the locker room. Deciding to start his son when it was obvious to other players and coaches that he wasn't the best option. They lost coaches because of it, and Chad Gilson transferred to Iowa. He's now #2 on the Iowa depth chart behind Alston.
