Some guys are actually having pretty good summers.

    Blalock

    12.5 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 4.5 apg, 47.4% sp, 87.5% ftp, 24 mpg.

    Vroman

    11.5 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 61.5% sp, 24 mpg.

It's too bad Stinson isn't playing.

Both of these guys are going to be in the NBA this fall I think.

How does the summer league work? Are they tied to a specific team or are they open to sign with who ever will offer them a contract?

Most rookies are placed there by the teams they are drafted by, the other guys are just invited by the league. I'm not sure how they construct the teams.

I don't read much into summer league stats. It's basically rookies, young guys that need to develop, and free agents that are trying to make the last spot on someone's roster playing so just because you have a good summer league doesn't necessarily mean you'll land with a team. I hope Blalock and Vroman can but there are guys that average nice numbers in those leagues every year that don't get picked up if that tells you anything.

Stinson is actually playing in the Orlando Summer League for the New Jersey Nets. Here's his stat lines from this summer:

Stinson was on the New Jersey Nets summer roster, playing in Orlando. There are a couple of leagues, one in Orlando and one in Las Vegas. Stinson plays in the league in Orlando. Looking at the Box Scores, he only got 5 +/- minutes per game.

Homan is playing for the Wizards out in Vegas, but has been a non factor for the most part.

Blalock looked good today, again. 16 pts, 4 rebs, 3 asts, 0 turnovers. Another good defensive effort.

Vroman plays tonight at 7:30. Games have been online at nba.com and some on nbatv. It's been entertaining this summer.
