Thinking about downsizing, we don't need this much room.
So is this like fancy daycare where the kids learn to speak Mandarin and play violins? No little kids for me so I have no reference. Sorry for the silly question.
Most places if you want good clean and nice employees you'll see this type of cost. In home daycares you can get for about 600-700 but they don't learn as much and you never know what could happen in those in homes either. Peace of mind I guess has a price
I prefer to stand aside and watch the craziness. But that's just me. The grass pruning competitions are quite funny.
As long as you can float it I'd get here. My experience in Des Moines is while it's the biggest job market in the state, everything is pretty interconnected. Get here, get involved, work hard and I imagine you'll have plenty of opportunities for upward mobility, either in the company you start at or somewhere else.

This thread is very interesting/eye-opening/funny for me, as I’ve never lived in small town Iowa or Iowa at all other than going to Iowa state and working in Dubuque for ~6 months.
What do you find humorous about it? I've lived in towns from 3 million the 1300. Always interesting to see people's viewpoints.
