I think about it every time I'm heading to Minnesota and pass the exit for Manly/Forest City

I annoy my wife by saying "MANLY FOREST CITY!" in the deepest voice I can. It has to be done though.

My friends and I, sometime late in high school or early in college, took a road trip to Minneapolis and stopped in Manly on the way back with some disposable cameras.

We took pictures of ourselves in front of anything that said MANLY on it.

I wonder what happened to those prints. It was great.

I still can't figure out how to say Puyallup. I used to sit next to a guy who grew up there, and he said that's how he can tell whether or not someone is a native Western Washingtonian.

Lost Nation is my favorite Iowa town name. Don't know why, just always liked it.

My Texas fam call it POOH ee uh LOOP. I've always pronounced it Pew-al-up (al as in Albert), no real accent on any of the three syllables. Damn, that's hard to describe!

Edit - I wasn't "native". Lived in Bellevue from 5 to 11 years old, then again from 13 to 18 after a brief stint in Florida.

In addition to Toad Suck, Arkansas has Monkey Run, Geasy Corner, Booger Hollow and Turkey Stratch. Not to mention Gassville.

depends on how much you had to drink in Beer Bottle Crossing. I'd guess you'd then wake up in Dingle.

This little corner of New Mexico has four good ones on top of each other. It might win some sort of combo award, if we were giving that one out...

I'm pretty sure there is a Hell, Michigan. I would imagine that it "freezes over" during the winter.
