I think that's what will define the '15-16 Cyclones.
As for this year's squad, they got what they had coming given their inconsistency. Unfortunately, it reared its ugly head at the worst time. I wish this team would have played with a chip on its shoulder, but that motivation was apparently never there, and the team never took on that urgency. Game after game when you thought they would be scared straight, it never happened. Shockingly, they still managed to claw their way to a Big 12 tourney title and create some amazing memories.
Next year, I think we see a different mentality out of this team--out of Monte, Georges, and Naz--one that we haven't yet seen out of a Hoiberg squad. They've been wounded more deeply than ever before. I predict that the pain of this loss, and the urgency that will come with the twilight of their Cyclone careers, is going to fuel something special.
