Two thoughts

1. MM is a helluva player who I enjoy more and more every time he plays.
2. He was IN FOURTH GRADE in 2004. I was more than half done at ISU by then

On topic....
Monte is a hell of a player.. Since the early games of the year, i have been telling my wife that he will be a steal in a year or so as a recruit.

I love Monte. The story about him and Izzo made me smile because you can totally tell that it is true and the kid hasn't changed in all of those years. Monte has a quiet confidence that isn't exactly cocky but is the exact type of mindset you want your point guard to have. The whole time before he was starting you could tell he knew with absolute certainty that he should be starting, but he wasn't disrespectful about it and he didn't pout. He just went out and made himself a starter.

He will be fun to watch for the next 3-plus years.

Somewhere in the U.S.
A lot of coaches say that the most progress is made by players from their freshman to sophomore year. If that is true, I can't wait to see what Matt and Monte, and even SDW look like next year. Naz has to get his shooting back too. They all need to be in the gym every day this off-season putting up a few hundred shots each day.

Big fan of Man Man's. I'm just going to leave this comparison here.
