Rockies 11-6 and pounding the Giants tonight 12-3. Amazing the production from Mark Reynolds who we resigned to a minor league contract after ian Desmond got hurt in spring training. His base salary is just 1.5 mil with a chance to earn 2 mil based on reaching certain incentives.

Dude is going to tear it up in Colorado. The ball goes far when he makes contact.

Another win for Colorado against the Nationals. It's still way early but crazy right now Colorado has the best record in the NL.

I enjoy this thread just because of the updates from all the different teams.

Getting a little foggy in Boston. And cold. Don't think I ever see anyone who looks like he hates cold games more than Starlin Castro.

And now it looks like it's clear off.

Edit: and foggy again. Luis Severino dealing. Shutout through 7.

Red Sox fans are not dumb. When a 285 pound outfielder crashes into and falls into the right field foul line seats you back up and don't challenge him for the ball even though by rules it's yours to take since it's fully in the stands.

Glad the small boy wasn't over a few seats. Yikes.

Old fashioned pitchers duel in Boston. Tanaka up 1-0 after 7 1/2 versus the super hot Chris Sale. Only run is unearned.

Couple big interest series in a row for Red Sox. Rival Yankees followed by World Series Champ Cubs this weekend.

Edit: Complete game for Tanaka for 3-0 win. And only took 2:21 to play which is unheard of for the usual Yank/Sox marathons. Big Poppyless Sox offense looks a little anemic in April.

Orioles totally owning the Yanks tonight (they may win this by double figures) but Aaron Judge has homered twice for 9 on the year. Last September I thought he looked like an overmatched rookie strikeout machine. Shows you what I know.

Edit Update: Now 11-11 in the bottom of the 9th. And moar proof I don't know ****!

I saw that Baltimore had a 99.5% of winning in the 7th inning. These Yankees are a lot better than people thought they would be.

Rockies won second in a row vs Arizona after their closer threw 2 wild pitches that went for runs in a 3 run ninth that gave us a 7-6 win.

I see the Rockies have a 3 game set up in Minny this month might have to make a trip to the twin cities.

Under "you don't see that every day:"

Bryan Mitchell pitched the 9th inning for the Yankees yesterday, played first while Chapman pitched the 10th and went back to the mound to pitch the 11th. He hadn't played first since 9th grade. It showed, he dropped a popup for an error but caught another one. And he was the losing pitcher.

Aaron Judge goes deep again, twice. Second was on 10 pitch at bat. Last year he would have stuck out after being 0-2 in the hole.

Five homers from Yank outfielders tonight, Judge (2), Hicks (1) and Gardner (2) Last three to do that were Mantle, Maris and Berra a million years ago.

BTW, Twin fans, Hicks is battling .306.
