No, I figured they just show up to the games and this point and don't practice much.

In all seriousness, if people think that's what's going on maybe the coaching staff needs to rethink their approach. It's important to be conditioned but running then into the ground isn't helpful either.
Have you emailed TJ with your suggestions? I’m sure he’d love to hear

I don’t think the coaching staff should ever listen to anything from anyone on here about what they think.

Looking forward to having Milan back. Don't expect a ton of minutes out of him for a week or 2, but he'll get there.

For the record, my comment was in regards to Heise becoming a consistent offensive contributor, which, as @CyGuy5 pointed out, is improbable at this point. I have not written off the season. Barring more injuries they should go 8-1 the rest of the way, and certainly stand a chance at Houston. But perhaps people should browse the thread about seeding. It is a statistical reality that the odds of them meeting our expectations since, what, Maui? are much lower than they were just a week ago. It doesn't make me a doomer to acknowledge that. If they don't make the Final Four I will not consider the season a disappointment. If some of you think they'll go 9-0 and make a deep run, I hope like heck you're right, and will be rooting for that. I can hold more than one thought in my head simultaneously

.

Also, consider how physical we play in games and we do the same in practice, so it's no wonder our guys get banged up.

I can’t tell if our fanbase has gotten soft with success or maybe it’s just the young crowd that has only seen success majority of the time but the amount of fans writing the season off after bad stretch is hilarious.
I think it's the increased expectations and the inability of some to look at things on the macro level instead of in a vacuum. Yes, losing sucks, but it happens. Very rarely do teams go undefeated and even doing so in the regular season means squat when you make the NCAA Tournament or now even the CFP.

I remember after we lost back to back against TTU and KU in football, there were so many people who essentially threw the season away. I had friends basically saying we might as well pack it up and we choked. Welp, we needed a few things to go our way, but we won out and made the Big 12 Title and were one game away from making the playoff. Do I wish and think we could've been playing in the first round? Absolutely. Am I satisfied as a fan with 11 wins and a conference title birth? Hell yeah I am.

Same goes with basketball which is far and away more of a roller coaster of a season than football. It's far easier to lose in basketball than in football. Sometimes shots just don't fall and that's the beauty of the game and what makes March Madness amazing. I mean ****, we were ranked in the top 10 in both offensive and defensive efficiency and we still had fans ***** and moan about little individual things, but that's just what fans do. I'm not ready to throw in the towel on the season because we had a rough week. A good performance on Saturday and we're still likely to be ranked in the top 10. I think many of us need to RELAX and let the guys on the court figure it out together.

I just don't get the Heise thing. How can you go from UNI's leading scorer to someone that looks allergic to the ball? He's not even trying to score at this point. Even with Milan back, we're going to need him to find his confidence if we're going to make a run in March.
Big12 vs Missouri Valley.

Are you're blaming this on fatigue? The only time this comes up is when we aren't playing well. Weird how nobody talked about it last year.
Your original post saying Drake players have no problem playing more minutes so Iowa State players should be able to do the same is an ignorant comment.

The game to game level of competition difference between the Valley and the Big 12 is night and day.

That’s not including travel to Hawaii and West Virginia and Arizona and soon Florida.

That’s like saying my daughter plays every minute of every game at Point Guard for her high school team, so Tamin should be able to do the same no problem!

Idiot.

Resorting to name calling when you don't agree with something. Grow up.

There are numerous teams better or just as good on D that have grueling travel schedules and starters playing more minutes.

If that is the case, then why did you use Drake as your example?

Just pointing out that your example, in my opinion, is not comparable.

Too bad Heise can't shoot 30% from 3, less even shoot. The guy is a beast with effort on D and rebounding. Nailed that pivotal 3 in the Iowa game.
Not really convinced he’s some elite defender either, he gets blown by pretty often. He is a great rebounding guard. Either way his tendency to be totally allergic to the ball is mind boggling given he was a good player at UNI. Looking like a big portal miss and an expensive one at that.

I honestly think the only reason people are worked up (me included) is the Kstate debacle at home, losing the heart breaker at Arizona stinks but whatever not a bad loss and showed well, losing at Kansas also not a big deal. Getting whipped at home by 20 to a below average kstate team sucks. Thats the biggest thing I think. I think this team probably goes 7-2, shows well in KC and could be a 2 seed. Also just root for Kstate to keep winning so that loss looks less bad.

He’s not. He has gotten exposed badly in pretty much all facets since Big 12 play started

Until their (Ksu) last game of the season.
