Re: Midlands Tourney

Is Ben Hanisch or Mark Kist the wrestler on record for ISU points?

Anxious to see how Fanthrope does against Marion (Iowa via DesMoines).

Gallick will have a tough match against Iowa's LeClere, we need Gallicks win. It would also be a great win for Nick.

Great posting

Re: Midlands Tourney

As of 2:15, ISU is in first place, 28.5 over Indiana. Iowa is in fourth at 24 points. ISU has 9 in championships and 1 in consolation, Iowa 8 in championship and 2 in consolation.

Re: Midlands Tourney

If I count correctly, ISU already has 11 wins for bonus points (MD/TF/Fall) through two rounds.

Re: Midlands Tourney

Jon --

There are at least two mistakes for Iowa, according to various sources. Keddy and Fields each won, so both ISU and Iowa should have 9 on the front side and 1 on the back.

Re: Midlands Tourney

Yes, you are correct. Iowa has 9 in the championships, and one in consolation, and they have yet to change the results.

I am pumped about the finals being on BTN tomorrow, live.

I wish I could get up to the national duals in two weeks, but I am going to Iowa-Okie State instead, next week....I probably should have chosen the latter.

Yes, you should have. Why watch 1 mat for 2 hours when you can watch 16 mats for 2 DAYS?

Re: Midlands Tourney

I had to move a church commitment to the 12th...I decided to put together a 'meet watch caravan' for Iowa fans for this meet, we got 100 tickets in a block. I havent been to CHA for a dual since the 1980's....

and I dont have to commit to being gone all day...easy on the home life :)

Re: Midlands Tourney

When does the next round start? (championship round). Is it 90 or 120 minutes between the times you wrestle?

NCAA rulebook:
"It is recommended that no contestant wrestle two matches in any tournament with less than 45 minutes of rest between matches."
