Cough cough. Now what? Hosed upon exit. Let the BTN write the check?

NCAA should set up conferences for this very reason.

They'll get out of it somehow.

Well done, Maryland, you just financed the secondary sports for the entire ACC for the next few years.

Well, that's a Grant of Rights answer right there, isn't it?

I'm not following. I think these are exit fees and grant of rights is not involved in the Maryland suit.

Maybe ISU can work a deal where Maryland pays only 45 million and it goes to the new Under Armour South Endzone at Jack Trice Stadium :jimlad: but seriously though SEZ!

I hope so. The guy went on to say:

Matt Hayes @Matt_HayesSN3h
Make no mistake, #Maryland will use every appeal possible to get out of paying the exit fee. This isn't over. #ACC #B1G

I have a question for CF legal counsel;

Is arbitration an option for Maryland & the ACC or is the amount ~$50 million a win or lose proposition now? Is Maryland's only hope (to NOT pay the ACC $50 million) winning their appeal?

Also, is the B1G paying for this?

Don't know about the legal stuff, but didn't the Big 12 pay half of WVU's $20 million exit fee?

Don't remember...

But on the legal stuff...(for the lawyers out there) couldn't Maryland tell the ACC to **** off and send this to Federal court?
