If my memory serves me right. Fed charges don’t get that good behavior as much as non fed charges. I think the rule is if you get 10 years you have to serve 8.5. So if he get 5 he would have to serve around 3.5 mandatory.

Guy was a piece of crap and should be in jail, but lets not act like he is going to be watching over his shoulder housed with rapist and murders either.
Marty will be serving his time in a dormitory type set up, few guards and if he can behave lots of privilege's that the inmates down at Fort Madison would kill for. He can spend his time organizing betting pools on the cockroach races.

Think for federal time you have to serve 80 or 85% before being considered for release. Something like that.
