Has anyone actually sold a ticket to the KU game recently? I see pairs of upper tickets (high rows) being listed around $125 and prices a little less on the ISU Ticket Exchange. However, it doesn't seem like anyone is buying. It will be interesting to see what happens to this market (in which I am neither buying or selling, just watching).

I predict that a few will drop their prices just to make a money grab, others will follow, but those who hold out will get their asking prices.

I am looking for a single, but will not pay the prices being asked so far. I don't think they are even outrageous and I think for the most part they are fair...I just have a limit and also know I can watch on TV worst case.

I think we'll see a lot of movement Sunday/Monday on tix.

I'm in the market to buy and have been watching as well. Will be interesting to see the movement once Sunday night hits.

I'm also with MJ though. I don't think the prices are bad, but over what I'd like to spend, especially with KU ranked a bit lower than we thought they'd be coming in.

I was briefly in the market for tickets to the aTm game this week. In the 48 hours it took me to gauge interest in who else wanted to come, the cheap seats went from $10 to $60. Depressing.

It is probably heating up, but they aren't as hot as recent years - probably because of no Saturday game and the few losses we had early on in conference. I know that a pair sold on StubHub recently for $120 each in the corners, but last year those would have gone for $200 each.

Week night 8pm games don't go as well, I made big on selling Baylor and KSU Saturday games this year and TTU last year.

I'm kind of in this boat. I went last week for Oklahoma and was able to get tickets at a decent price. Add in the two hour drive from Cedar Rapids and sometimes it is just better to watch at home. Don't get me wrong, I'll still be looking up until 5:30 p.m. on Monday, but doubting it happens.

tge market price for KU and Iowa when they're on week nights always drops pretty hard the week leading up to the game. For this exact reason that I always sell my KU seats at the beginning of the season and buy back after the market drops. I upgraded my seats as well as made $200 for this game.

I was looking to buy 2 in the lower level a couple weeks ago and they wanted $1200 for the pair. Instead I decided to buy a new 65 in TV to watch the game on and saved a few hundred.

I hear ya. I'm going to keep an eye out until Monday early evening. Worst case scenario, I'll make a rum and coke and put my feet up under a blanket and enjoy Brent and Jay on the call.

I think the absence of Fred has driven down demand more than anyone expected. I also think that's why more seats remain open even when tickets are sold.

Essentially, I think people enjoyed having Fred more than the winning. It's a strange dynamic around here.

We have some friends who might be using our "spare" ticket. If they don't, we'll let you know.
We're reasonable. A couple cars or a helicopter plus operating and storage costs. No biggie.

I completely disagree. Two years ago when KU came to town you could get tickets for $100 or less with ease in the days leading up to the game. The KU game last year would have sold the same as this year if it was played on a Monday instead of a Saturday.

I wasn't focused on the Kansas game. I'm only bothering with specific mentions there.
I mean in general. During each of Fred's years, a mention here or on Facebook or basically anywhere that had humans attached of available tickets brought a deluge of quick responses. This year comes down sometimes even to a few minutes before gametime if any at all.

The crazy levels of excitement just aren't there right now, even if you aren't looking for money.

I think I left in total for the year probably 25 tickets on the trashcan outside Hilton last year including 5 for Arkansas which the last couple days I was asking $10/Ticket on here and on Craigslist and I couldn't get a bite. This has been the easiest year to sell tickets for me personally.
