I get around
What's the chances of having 30,000 in the stands and another 30,000 in the tailgating lots without tickets whooping it up and watching it on tailgating TV's? Sounds like a great time to me. All following CDC guidelines of course.

Should be a solid opponent. Didn't lose many players from last year, went 11-3 with their only losses coming to Mississippi State and App. State 2x.

Should contend for the conference title again this year.

If we take care of business, this will give us a nice little boost in the rankings right from Week 1.

Maybe this has already been covered, but at some point this past spring, Jamie cut off the attendance at 30,000 and said they would provide a stadium map to show where the season ticket holders would be sitting. Any news on this yet?

I'm not so sure tailgating will even be allowed this year. Oklahoma State put out their rules and they are going to have fans in the stadium, but there will be no tailgating. Lots will open up 2.5 hours before the game, but I don't think you're going to be able to host any sort of actual tailgate. I'm sure hanging out by your car in small numbers won't be that much of an issue, but I'm not sure what their actual rules will be.

They are also putting those spit guards at all concession stands, requiring masks to be worn at all times outside and inside the stadium unless eating or drinking, and the seating is going to be spread out.

Middle of the Midwest
Louisiana lost to Appalachian State twice last season -- once in regular season, once in the Sun Belt conference championship game.

Just interesting random info. I'm excited for this game!

Louisiana is
29K case per million (#1)
938 deaths per million (#6)

Texas is the next worst per capita on schedule, but not much different than Iowa which is the third worst of the states on the schedule.

Kansas, WV and OK all pretty low per capita.
Total cases per capita isn't a great way to measure current virus levels. New cases in the last 7 days per 100,000 population breaks down as follows (including territories):

Louisiana (180 - #6)
Texas (168 - #9)
Oklahoma (122 - #15)
Kansas (100 - #19)
Iowa (99 - #21)
West Virginia (47 - #43)

I don’t care who we play, all I know is that when the ball is kicked, it will be the best 3 hours of 2020.

Story county testing like crazy people. 1703 tests yesterday with 7 cases. Must be many of the students coming back. Good sign for football with that level.

Would be great if they can keep that up.
