I watched a little bit of Lost the first season. Really enjoyed it, but haven't watched it since, mainly because I haven't been able to keep up with it. Do you guys know if all the past seasons are available on DVD so I can catch up on the series before it starts again.

You've got a month to do so. :) I've got all three seasons on DVD, and I think the first two are relatively cheap -- though the third season is completely worth it. The first 7 episodes of that season are a bit dull, but the rest of the season's episodes are some of the series' best since the beginning of season 1.

If you haven't seen it yet, ABC has been showing previews of season 4. It looks awesome. I'm sure you can find it on the internet somewhere. New season starts January 31st.

My brother works for Best Buy and he said season 1 2 and 3 were all on sale. What I did was go to Family Video and rent each disc for a dollar and finished each season in like 3 days

Thanks for the info. I just wanted to make sure all the seasons were out before I did a marathon. One time I watched all the Battlestar Galactica series thinking I could catch up to the latest season. Found out I was half a season short and I'm still waiting to catch up.

By the way, if you want a good laugh, check out the Oceanic Airlines fake press release on Lostpedia.com. Apparently, Ames is now involved in the LOST mythology!

That is awesome. Did you go to sleep? Usually there are 24 episodes that are worth about 40-45 minutes each.

I saw that too! I think all of the Oceanic Airlines service destinations have something to do with the characters on the show. The Ames location is for Kate. From what I recall her flashbacks just take place in and show that she is from Iowa, but never specify Ames exactly. I wonder if one of the writers has some link to Ames (ISU grad?).

You're right, I thought I remembered Kate being from Cedar Falls or Cedar Rapids, but that must be where her childhood friend worked. I wonder if Kate is a Cyclone fan?

I've seen a bunch of Lost commercials during the bowl games today. I'm currently watching through 24 (finishing the first season tonight), and I'm watching the entire The Sopranos after that, but I think I'll throw Lost onto my list once I'm finished. It'll give me time to round up the DVDs, too.

Did anyone else notice in the episode where Kate had a flashback to Iowa, that all the cattle in the background were longhorns (as in Texas). I can't remember what episode.

I love the show, but my roommates and I had a hard time believing everyone in showbiz was THAT naive.

But yes, fired up for Season 4! Although I heard the writers' strike will probably cut the season to only 7 episodes.

Currently there are 8 completed episodes. That's most likely all we're going to get unless the strike gets settled real quick.

I thought there was an episode that had both Sawyer and Kate flashbacks, and both were in Iowa. Sawyer mentioned something about "Highway 29" which I assumed was I-29 in western Iowa. I could be wrong, though.

All of season 3 is free to view on ABC.com. You can rent or buy season 2 and then watch season 3 on DVD. But season 3 might not be online for too much longer.

My favorite quote from that episode:

No self-respecting man in Iowa goes anywhere without beer.
