We played against him yesterday. I’m not sure what’s so weird about it

The weird part is by definition to be overrated one must first be rated. You picked a failed power 5 head coach coaching at a lower level school. A coach so benign that if you asked 100 hardcore college football fans, maybe 20 could tell you where he's coaching.

That's like calling some band nobody's heard of the most overrated band of all time.

The State of Hockey
call me crazy but I have never had an issue with butch jones. In fact iirc there was a chance he almost came to Iowa State back when he was the central Michigan coach before CPR came here.

He had the unfortunate time of being in the SEC when everyone measured themselves against Alabama and even though he had multiple 9 wins seasons and winning record with Tenn it wasn’t good enough. I think the only valid criticism was his losing conference record.

He had some goofy comments but I always thought the media was way too harsh on him. Like his “five-star hearts” comment got eviscerated for weeks while I personally don’t see it any different from saying “five-star culture”

To be I always though Jone came off genuine in his love for his players even during rough patches of the season.

If you want scum and frauds look at coaches like Hugh freeze.

It's not any different. Matt Campbell can say that at Iowa State, he couldn't say that at Tennessee. At Tennessee, you had better be getting actual 5 star players.
