Left Hand Google History How to remove

Anyone have advice on how to remove the history column/bar on left side of Google Home page? I have the small toolbar on the top and accidentally activated this mode. Removing it has me stumped.

On Edit I use FireFox and the history sidebar takes up space and is just annoying: if I want my history I'll open the history.

I don't know from experience, but I've heard that sometimes it's easier to google with your left hand.

This is a weird hack, but If you search for "lesbian midget porn" 15 times in a row, that will take care of your issue.

If you are used to a certain format while at a work station this is annoying. I used control H and it didn't help. I contacted IT guy and followed a few suggestions and it finally disappeared but so did another function! Thanks!
