Send him packing. Set an example. I don't want to see us become a program like the one out east.

Is there a fan base in the FBS that is quicker to lynch their own then the ISU fan base?

Quicker to lynch our own? He stole from the university, and was given a second chance. He's ****ed up again, and he needs to be gone. End of story.

Yes I saw that you said this was his second offense. Berryman got how many chances?

He was kicked off the team after his second run in with the law. He was than allowed back on the team after serving significant jail time, only to break the law again.

No one died and he doesn't suit up in gold and black, therefore the kid deserves another chance. Give him a game suspension against UNI and call it a day.

2-3 game suspension. Considering this happened in the middle of Winter training. I don't think he loses any games. He'll have the rest of winter, spring, and summer to be punished.

So we all clamor about Iowa's success, they didnt get where they were by kicking kids off for an OWI.

Do any of you pay attention to historical punishments at ISU? OWI usually = one game suspension for FB players. Yet every time someone gets one, the pitchfork and torches, "set an example" crowd always starts posting about how he will be off the team for the OWI... and it never, ever happens! Seriously.

This might be a slightly different case since he was arrested for minor theft a couple years back, but I bet he ends up with the usual punishment for OWI, a one-game suspension.

This is why you guys shouldn't get so serious in all of the Iowa threads. Its pretty obvious some of you are trying put on an act.

Have you ever driven under the influence? Lucky you for not being caught.

I would say the same thing if he hadn't had the theft earlier. I think the two together will probably leave him off the team but then again, I don't get paid a bunch of money to make these decisions.
Sounds like Berryman. So he played in four games?

It is beyond stupid that some of you think what happens in Iowa City should have anything to do with our team discipline. "Set an example" is just plain pointless, I am so glad our coaches administer punishment fairly to each individual rather than "setting examples."
