Wow, keith and Andy leaned heavily into the CC is a victim of reverse racism angle today. Otherwise she would have that Nike shoe of course . . .
I thought with the hour format the CC talk would tamp down but it dominated again today. I liked the radio show, but I’m out on the IE version. Actually hadn’t been listening but I thought the CC talk might be over today after CC (Fever) were eliminated. Murph can twist any topic into a CC discussion.
It's his GF. He can't stop.
I have yet to listen to IE murph and Andy based on reviews so far. Do they ever actually have real conversation about Iowa or Iowa state?

I'm conflicted because I actually have become a WNBA/Lynx fan so part of me likes a little talk about it. I've just kind of decided I'm bored of baseball and WNBA fits into the short gap between when NBA playoffs ends and college football/European soccer starts. It works for me, especially since I've gotten into ISU wbb for first time the past couple years.
I had both games on Wednesday night back to back while I did stuff around the house. There's another part of me that is curious about tuning into watch Clark in a similar way I got lured into watching Tiger Woods in the late 90s when he was so good right away.
I like it but I'll skip over non-sports topics sometimes.
With the Two Guys I listen to the whole show even if I'm not wild about the topics. I listen to a majority of the CF pods during fb/bball season too.
I have a lot of Iowa fan friends/family and I don't mind Iowa coverage if it's good or funny the way Hassel does it, he's actually honest about Iowa. I prefer an honest homer over some "neutral" sunshine pumper.
It'll be interesting to see if she can take another step next year from starter to star. She was the #2 3pt FG% in the league this year. Pretty automatic if left open.
If I'm being totally honest, Collier (Lynx with BC) is probably the one player who is as fun to watch as Clark. Nobody in this league passes like Clark but Collier is the best pure scorer and makes it look effortless. She and Bridget also both have that permanent smile like Haliburton which is a nice contrast from Clark at times.
Crazy how all of that just wilted away when NFL and CFB started.
I haven’t listened to any episode of theirs. Every podcast title has CC in the name. I’ll pass on the constant bootlicking
I think I would have heard if someone posted to her social media that they hope she is raped and decapitated like they did to Carrington.
There are a lot of CC fans on social media who just haven't ever even been sports fans before. I don't know that it's all "racism" vs some truly wild ignorance. The past week a ton of rage that CC wasn't unanimous MVP because she creates the most revenue, as if that's ever been how MVP is decided in any sport. Jordan and LeBron would have 35+ MVPs between them if that's how MVP worked. Nikola Jokic is my favorite non-Cyclone player right now and totally deserving of his MVPs, but he'd have zero MVPs if marketing value was how we determined MVP.
Clark’s sourpuss attitude is not good.
I read something I think a few months ago that thought that treating Clark like the poor little white girl damsel in distress is not only a racist and/or homophobic trope about the other players but also an insult to Clark. Frankly she doesn’t need old Keith to defend her, she’s shown herself perfectly capable of throwing the chicken wing when she feels like it.
I listened to one of their episodes on IE, but never again. It's almost all gushing over Iowa and CC.. with a few news items. Not my thing at all.
As for CC... I haven't watched a Fever game in a long time, so I tuned in for a bit the other night... and I still can't take it. She might have matured slightly... but she's mostly still the same player... throws her hands up and whines and cries a lot... and still is about the laziest person on the court getting back on defense. That just ticks me off to no end.
Agree now that fever are done there is no need to bring her up for awhile. Plenty of more worthwhile topics to discuss.
Being such wnba fanatics that they now claim to be I'll be waiting with baited breath for future playoff discussion. Not.
