We weren't very good in 2014, but from from sucking. We sucked when Betts played and in 2012 for sure. Also, the 2014 team had Brandon Scherff on it and Desmond King. Guarantee you Lazard won't be drafted higher than Scherff and probably not higher than King.

In 2012, Iowa played Nebraska, Michigan, Northwestern (all ranked) at Michigan State and Penn State. Plus a Northern Illinois team that played in the Orange Bowl.
They played two ranked teams all year. Northwestern wasn't ranked when they played them, Michigan State was .500 and they lost to Iowa State, Central Michigan, Indiana and Purdue that season. Iowa State played twice as many ranked teams as Iowa that season FWIW
Really? So when discussing Iowa State's SOS from last year, you wouldn't count Iowa as a Top 25 (or 10) team that you guys played once the season was over?

Want to go by final rankings in 2012? Iowa played 1 team in the top 20 (Northwestern #17). Iowa State had a much harder schedule that year FWIW plus Iowa lost to Central Michigan, Indiana and Purdue. Iowa was terrible in 2012, not sure how you could argue differently
