OH, it's more than one guy. There are more of us than you think, that make the long haul to Ames (I come from Sioux City, a 2:45 drive). I have to attend the game, due to bringing the daughter home for Thanksgiving break (she's in the band). Looks like a 2am Sioux City arrival, after a colder than hell ballgame. Though a win would definitely quiet down my ******** and I do look forward to tailgating at a better time of day than 8am. :D

I was more or less disappointed in that guys comment about people not caring for ISU and wishing we werent on tv so we could dictate the time. I guess some people do prefer the dark days that those were. I do feel bad for those that travel a few hours away for games, not trying to be insensitive to that. 11am games are just the devil though.

Anytime you are 1 - 8 and you can get a primetime kickoff on a national channel you have to take it. Not sure how we got it the B12 slate that day must be slow or, ABC and Fox are picking up games.

I like the kickoff time. How we got it over the other 2 games I don't know, but I will take it.

Baylor-Oklahoma State is the national ABC game at 7:00pm. Fox Sports 1 had Oklahoma-Kansas State and KU-ISU to choose from, and 11:00am and 7:00pm to put them.

My guess is that FS1 thought that they would be get more viewers as "the" Big 12 game at 11:00am rather than try to compete in the night slot.

I think you're right. This way, OU-KSU can win an audience, which our game wasn't about to do at any time.

Wow. I can't imagine that this is a banner crown in actual attendance. Only real chance for a win left, but it's going to be really cold. Not sure a whole lot of people want to see that.

How will it affect parking in the public lots near Hilton and Scheman?

I wonder if this is the game where the 50,000+ attendance streak ends

Great time for tailgating if the weather holds up. Good tailgating tends to drive fans into the stadium. I'll definitely take this over 11am.

So, one more crappy kick off time for the schedule-from-hell season. 4 games after 5PM or later, 2 at the dreaded 11AM. These start times suck for us fans that have to drive at least 2 hours for the games. I actually miss the days when no one cared about us, and we kicked off at 1PM...

There is no way in hell that ISU should have a 7 pm kickoff on November 23. The Big Ten does not have November night games. I agree with that policy for ISU because of the distance we are north of everyone else. If they want a late November night game then it should be either Texas or Oklahoma who has to play in that cold weather in Ames Iowa. Let's see if it happens then.

Nothing like the embarrassment of 5 thousand people in the stands if the weather is about 20 degrees with 30 mile an hour winds. Freaking insane.

I agree with you completely. I am sure ISU would have preferred a different timeslot. But at the sametime we like the money we are getting, so we can't complain when we are 1 - 8, and no one wants to watch, but FS1 has a time commitment to fill.

The place will be rocking after we upset OU. Last ranked team we have on the road this year. They are going down.

Great, the one game I wanted to kickoff at 11am. I guess I now have two tickets in section H to sell if anyone wants them, face value $30 each but I know I'll be lucky to get $20 for the pair… Can we play at 1pm and just broadcast our empty stadium for 3 and a half hours at 7pm? No one will be watching anyway.
